Phew. I feel like I had another birthday while waiting. Really slow service in a place that was just over half full. Food was pretty good and portions were generous but way to slow for service. Not too friendly either. I would not bother stopping here. I know I won't bother.

Khios is your typical diner/Coney Island type joint. Similar to Leo's, they offer saginacki(sp?), Opa! I went with a group and we had 2 for the table and both plates were cleaned. I tried the Big Breakfast and compared to a National it went like this....the eggs, bacon, and hash browns were par or better, the sausage was worse, and the toast was better. Actually the toast was much better. In comparison to Leo's down the road in GB, Khio's is nice because it's a small business and a quieter spot to enjoy a breakfast or lunch....oh and the menu is also pretty sizable.

I was on my way up north and got off 75 in Grand Blanc to look for lunch. I drove around for a while to find a non-chain place and ended up at Khios. I had the Reuben. Flavor wise, it was one of the best Reubens I've ever had. Value wise, it was way too thin. If I'm going to pay $6 just for a sandwich, I expect an inch high hump of corn beef. A Reuben should be Rubenesque. This had barely a 1/4 inch of meat. iced tea was good. on the way out, I asked the waitress the best way to get back to the freeway. she didn't know and had to defer to a waiter for directions. How do you not know how to get to the freeway?

Don't understand why so many bad reviews. I have eaten here for years. Monterey Steak is great. Best BLT I've had for very low price. Best french frys. Prices are very good. Always have had excellent service. Not real fancy but I've always had good food, good prices and fast service.

What a lame experience. Food was boring and needlessly covered with gravy, waitress was angered when I asked her to return an order she got wrong. Food was overpriced for being a coney island menu. Would not recommend.

Well, sad to say the service earns this 2 star review. The food is decent but not spectacular. I ordered the burger (should be easy right?), well it tasted like a meatball shaped into a burger. However, my hubby had the German Philly and it was much better than my burger. The salad is always the highlight of my meal here. It is a place to go in a pinch and it's obviously not my favorite.
